Electronic prescribing is an option for prescribers and their patients to use an electronic prescription as an alternative to a paper prescription. Changes to Commonwealth legislation commenced on 31 October 2019 recognising an electronic prescription as an alternative legal form by which medicines can be supplied under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

This webinar will provide foundation information about electronic prescribing in Australia including the supporting technical framework published by the Agency and an overview of the industry offer available to eligible developers.

This session will be valuable for members of your team who are likely to be involved in responding to the Agency’s industry offer, and/or, interested in developing electronic prescribing functionality, or those who might appreciate an introduction to electronic prescribing. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
